It’s time for our annual girls ice climbing trip!!!
This year we will be going to Lake City, Colorado. The Lake City ice park is filled with lots of options for ice routes ranging from easy to difficult, bolted anchors, and just a short walk from our 7 bedroom rental house. With Lake City being open for 24 hours, we will have 2 full days climbing with expert level ice climbers Meg O’Neill and Nicole Papastavrou.
This price includes:
2 nights in a 7 bedroom rental house
2 days of expert level climbing mentorship
Girls ice climbing trip!!!
This trip is for all skill levels and will be capped at 10 girls to allow for proper one-on-one mentorship. Never ice climbed before? No problem! Been ice climbing for years? We can help advance your skill set! For updated information on where to find gear rentals, carpools, and everything you need to know, please add yourself into the FaceBook Utah Adventure Girls Event!
Example of our tentative schedule (TBD)-
We will arrange multiple carpools and make the drive to Lake City together.
Friday night we will arrive at the rental house and make sure gear is fitted/ adjusted correctly.
Saturday morning climbers Meg and Nicole will give guidance and instruction on the basics of ice climbing.
We will spend Saturday and Sunday climbing all the ice!
Sunday night we will make the drive home together.
Important:
You will need to rent or bring your own ice climbing gear (crampons, tools, and mountaineering boots). This can easily be rented through many gear stores locally.
Due to the increasing COVID cases, a negative COVID test or proof of vaccination will be required before the trip.
THIS IS NOT A GUIDED TRIP. This is a group of like-minded women working together as a team. We will have expert level climbers joining us for mentorship, but they are not guides.
There will be refunds issued after January 21, 2022. You are always welcome to find another adventure girl to take your place!
